This group meets in conjunction with Bookham U3A.
The original Bookham Writing Group led by Edwina has been going since the inception of Bookham U3A. Many would-be scribes have experienced and enjoyed this truly self-learning pursuit – some staying the course for many years. In 2006 a second Bookham Group was started by one of the early members and is now inviting members from Fetcham U3A to build on.
So if you feel the urge to take up your pen, why not try us? Experience not essential, but enthusiasm for self-expression, a wide interest in life, unlimited imagination, a strong sense of humour and if you are looking for a fascinating hobby, this will do for starters. If you have the power to move people with words – you are the one for us.
We meet on alternate Friday mornings (but this may change as necessary) giving readings of member’s writing work on a wide variety of themes, exchanging thoughts and ideas.
